Jim Blanchard had a big solo home run for the Cutthroats in the bottom of the fourth inning. With Denver leading 1-0 and the bases empty, he got a changeup from Ron Clous and swatted a home run to left. It was his 16th home run of the season, and more importantly, it put the Cutthroats ahead, 2-0.
