Thrilling Walk-Off Win for Blues
|
Starting pitcher Steve Estrada gave the New York City Blues a rock-solid performance, helping them defeat the San Francisco Peanuts, 3-2, in 10 innings. The win was credited to 25-year old right-handed pitcher John McClinton in relief. His record improves to 2-2. Jon Flores took the loss. New York City, now 15-7, has won 10 straight games.
The decisive blow was delivered by Jeremy Shackelford in the bottom of the tenth when he hit a solo home run off 34-year old right-handed pitcher Jon Flores to win the game for New York City. The home crowd went nuts.
"Put a star next to this win," Shackelford said.
