The rain did not keep Dallas and Los Angeles from finishing their game.

Alex Viorato, who was drafted in the 3rd round of the 2010 draft, led Dallas to a triumph over Los Angeles. The final score was 13-8. The second baseman went 4 for 5, falling a triple shy of the cycle. He scored 2 runs and added 3 RBI. David Gingras snagged the win in relief. He goes to 1-0 on the season. Joe Rice suffered the loss.

Dallas used a well-timed hit by Willis Savala to capture the win. The left fielder socked a run-scoring double in the top of the third inning to put the Texans ahead, 4-3. Though it was his only hit in 5 at-bats, it was important.

"Getting a lot of baserunners and getting some timely hits, it's a good combination," said Viorato.

The victory puts Dallas at 8-12.
