A good time was had by all at The Thunder Bowl, where the Washington Warriors and Tampa Bay Thunder tangled.
In a low-scoring game between the Tampa Bay Thunder and the Washington Warriors, pitcher Bobby Walker was masterful on the mound. The Tampa Bay right-hander spearheaded his team's 2-1 win. The winning pitcher was Walker, now 1-0. He tossed 7 innings of 4-hit ball, while walking 4 and fanning 9. Dave Miller earned his 1st save, after closing out the game.
Frank Robinson, who is tied for 2nd in the PBC in extra base hits with 12, came through for Tampa Bay with a solo home run in the bottom of the fourth. The first baseman went 2 for 3 for the game, including 1 home run and 1 double. He scored 1 run and collected 1 run batted in.
"That's us at our best," Robinson told the Tampa Bay News. "Pitching and trying to prevent runs."
Losses have been rare for the Warriors, who are now 12-4.
