Victory Takes Mavericks to 8-7
Jared Blodgett did all he could to help his team win. In the end, though, it wasn't enough to keep the Los Angeles Knights from being beaten, 7-4, to the Houston Mavericks at Mavericks Ballpark. Blodgett went 2-4 with a home run, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. Houston pitcher Brian Farmer got the win, upping his record to 1-1. Jesse Chauvette got the loss. The save was credited to Jonathan King, his 3rd.

Second Baseman Gian-Carlo Aquilina made an impact for Houston, when he swatted a solo home run off Jesse Chauvette in the bottom of the fifth. For the contest, Aquilina went 1 for 5 with a home run.

"Nice win for us," said Aquilina. "Now we'll go after the next one."

The win puts Houston at 8-7.
