The Boston Shamrocks knocked off the Toronto Titans, 3-1, in Professional Baseball Circuit action at Shamrock Grounds. Boston pitcher and Los Angeles, California, native Chris Phillips had an outstanding performance. In 7 innings, Phillips surrendered 5 hits, while striking out 6 and walking 5. He allowed 1 run. Billy Morris earned his 2nd save, after closing out the game.

The Shamrocks got a big at-bat from first baseman Andres Hernandez. For the game, Hernandez was 1-4 with a home run. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the first, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 4th home run of the season gave Boston a 2-0 lead.

"Chris just went about his business, throwing strikes," said Boston manager Matt Mays.
