Top R Hurler Honors Go to Scott Saturday, November 2nd , 2013 Xavier Scott walked away with the top pitching honors in the PBC Rookie Complex League this year. The Boston (R) Shamrocks starter was named the Pitcher of the Year Award winner for 2013 earlier today. This outstanding 22-year-old hurler fashioned a fine 5-3 won-lost record in 20 starts. He threw 102.2 innings, giving up 70 hits and 30 walks and holding opponents to a .191 average. Scott struck out 149 and posted a 1.93 ERA. He received 13 first place votes out of a possible 18. Hector Campa of the Detroit (R) Motors finished second in voting with 5 first place votes, while Zachary Faulkner of the San Francisco (R) Peanuts finished third.
