Lovell Wins Award for R Dominance Wednesday, October 30th , 2013 Christopher Lovell said he thinks hitters often underestimate him, as he's only 19 years old. But he'll certainly be getting a lot more respect now, as the Washington (R) Warriors rising star has won the PBC Rookie Complex League Reliever of the Year Award for 2013. He captured the award on the strength of his 1.05 ERA over 42.2 innings. He also had 8 saves in 21 relief appearances, 53 strikeouts and only 17 walks. He received 18 first place votes, as a unanimous winner. Brian Asbury of the Los Angeles (R) Knights finished second in voting, while Chris Bratton of the Detroit (R) Motors finished third.
