Pilots Beat Motors in Championship Cup Saturday, October 19th , 2013 The Atlanta (R) Pilots were good enough to get past the Detroit (R) Motors at PBC Rookie Development Complex today and secure the 1st championship in franchise history. "When you wear Pilots on your shirt, you're good at something," Atlanta (R) skipper Jason Stevens told the press. Pilots third baseman Jon Clermont was named MVP of the series after he went .500 with 4 home runs and 6 RBI. "It feels totally incredible," Clermont said. "I could live to 1,000 years old and I'd remember this moment." The new champions capped off a great season with a 5-3 victory over the Motors to win the Championship Cup 4-2. View Boxscore |
