Detroit (R) Wins Cup Qualifier Thursday, October 10th , 2013 After their 10-2 win today at PBC Rookie Development Complex over the Boston (R) Shamrocks, the Detroit (R) Motors will advance to the Championship Cup. Detroit (R) won the series by a 4-3 margin. Leading the way for the Motors was first baseman Oscar Cuevas, who had a spectacular series and was named MVP. "I don't play differently in the regular season or playoffs. I just go out and do my best every game," he said. "It's certainly nice to play in the big game, but you can't let it get to your head and change your focus." The Detroit (R) Motors will play against the Atlanta (R) Pilots in the next round. Atlanta (R) won their series against the Denver (R) Cutthroats 4 games to 2. The Championship Cup schedule will be announced after the Cup Qualifier finishes. View Boxscore |
