Four-bagger Feast: Montet Slugs 3 for Los Angeles (R) Monday, September 30th , 2013 Keith Montet was sending souvenirs to the sun gods all game long in the 11-7 Los Angeles (R) Knights triumph at PBC Rookie Development Complex. The 19-year-old put on a show for fans, launching not one, not two, but three home runs into the stands and powering the Knights past the Las Vegas (R) Aces. "One homer's good, two's great, three's out of sight," Montet told BNN reporters after the game. "I can't wait until next game. I really feel good at the plate." The shortstop went 3-for-4, rung up 5 RBIs and scored 3 runs on his record-setting day. Keith Montet hit a solo-shot off Chris Blunt in the 1st, hit a two-run home run off Chris Blunt in the 2nd, walked in the 4th, struck out in the 6th, hit a two-run home run off Anton Vargas in the 8th and walked in the 9th. To date this year, Montet is batting .299 with 11 home runs. |
