Diablos Lose Meza for Season Thursday, September 19th , 2013 A blow for Jose Meza today -- team doctors confirmed he will miss 4-5 months with ulnar nerve entrapment. Meza suffered the injury throwing a pitch. Although officials from the El Paso (R) Diablos are confident he'll make a full recovery, doubts will persist about Meza's ability to return fully fit with an injury of this nature. Meza has posted a 2-1 record for the year with a 2.55 ERA. Teams are hitting .282 against him and he has rung up 18 strikeouts in 17.2 innings. |
