Morales Keeps Hit Streak Alive Wednesday, September 18th , 2013 The St. Louis (R) Lions stopped the New York City (R) Blues, 5-3, and Aubrey Morales collected a base hit yet again. The St. Louis (R) second baseman finished with 1 hit to run his consecutive-game hitting streak to 20. "I want to get a hit every time up," a visibly excited Morales told reporters after the contest. "I want to get a hit every game I play. Right now, I feel like I could take this streak to 100 games." Aubrey Morales struck out in the 1st, flied out in the 4th, flied out in the 6th, walked in the 7th, singled in the 10th and grounded out in the 12th. Morales is hitting .312 so far this season with 36 RBIs and 49 runs scored. He has 70 hits including 12 home runs, 50 walks and .451 OBP. |
