Players Suspended in Warriors-Keystones Donnybrook Tuesday, July 2nd , 2013 Yesterday at PBC Rookie Development Complex Kevin LeBoeuf and Justin Johnson got into each other's space and then into each other's face. They began to grapple and fell to the ground. That's when it boiled over into a full-fledged bench-clearing tussle between the Washington (R) Warriors and Philadelphia (R) Keystones. Reason finally prevailed as the umpires restored order. After much discussion, only the two major combatants were ejected from the game. Today the league office notified the ballclubs that LeBoeuf will have to sit out 2 while Johnson would be given a 5-game suspension for their roles in the brawl. LeBoeuf is hitting .214 this season with 2 home runs, 4 RBIs and 6 runs scored. He has 12 hits in 56 at-bats. So far this season, Johnson has no wins and 1 loss and a 4.01 ERA. |
