Lecourt Batters St. Louis (R) Big Time Monday, June 24th , 2013 Dallas (R) Texans third baseman Erwin Lecourt had a day to remember at PBC Rookie Development Complex, ripping apart the St. Louis (R) Lions and sparking the 8-7 Texans win. Lecourt wrote his name in the record books with a 5-hit barrage, finishing his special day 5-for-6. "I'm usually a first ball hitter," Lecourt told BNN reporters in the postgame press conference. "I think pitchers think batters are going to let the first one go by. I never do. I've always found that it's better to pull the trigger early in the count. Pitchers get real nasty when they get ahead of you, so I try to avoid it." Erwin Lecourt hit a solo-shot off Bryan Clohessy in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Bryan Clohessy in the 2nd, doubled in the 3rd, flied out in the 5th, singled in the 8th and doubled in the 10th.
