Perez Goes on Rampage Against Cutthroats Wednesday, August 8th , 2012 The 5th time is the charm -- at least for Jonathan Perez. The third baseman for the Los Angeles (R) Knights hit the milestone against the Denver (R) Cutthroats, helping his club to a narrow 5-4 victory. Perez finished with a 5-for-6 line at the plate. "Perez was a tough out," Denver (R) manager Edwin Jimenes told the press in the postgame interview. "If it weren't for him, I think we had this one." Jonathan Perez singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, doubled in the 6th, flied out in the 8th and hit an RBI single in the 9th.
