Pelicans Cruise to Amateur Circuit Cup with Sweep Thursday, October 3rd , 2013 The Boston Battalion were simply overmatched by the St. Petersburg Pelicans in the Division Championship Series. The end result was a sweep, as St. Petersburg has cruised to the Amateur Circuit Cup, with the final win coming at Ballpark of St. Petersburg by a score of 8-4. "We're clicking and running on all cylinders at the moment," said Nick Lynch, who was named MVP of the Division Championship Series. "We're a dangerous team when we play like this." For the series, Lynch hit .625 with a .556 on-base percentage. He had 2 home runs, drove in 8 RBI and scored 3 runs. The St. Petersburg Pelicans don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the Houston Apollos - Albuquerque Coyotes series. Albuquerque leads the series 1 game to 0.
