El Paso Loses Masayoshi Yamashiro for Season Tuesday, September 3rd , 2013 The season is apparently over for Masayoshi Yamashiro. The El Paso Mavericks medical staff informed the club that the starting pitcher will be out at least 4-5 months with a torn meniscus. Yamashiro was hurt in the game against Fort Wayne while throwing a pitch. The doctors did not think he would recover prior to the end of the season. In 15 starts this season, Yamashiro has gathered 5 wins while suffering 5 losses. He has pitched 73.2 innings, allowed 73 hits, struck out 107 and has a 4.03 ERA. |
