Solis Sizzles with 20-Game Batting Streak Tuesday, August 27th , 2013 Nobody has been able to shut down Providence Grays center fielder Luis Solis in recent days. The Oil City Oilers fared no better than the rest. Today at Providence Field, Solis picked up 2 hits in 5 at-bats en route to a win, 6-1. It stretched his hitting string to 20 consecutive games. Luis Solis singled in the 1st, struck out in the 2nd, singled in the 3rd, grounded out in the 5th and flied out in the 8th. So far this year, Solis has hit .365 with 6 home runs, 37 RBIs and 32 runs scored. |
