Berard Walks Away from the Game Tuesday, July 30th , 2013 Howard Berard is stepping away from the game of baseball at the end of the season. The Manhattan Liberty player gave a brief explanation to reporters this afternoon. "It's time to step away from the game and work on phase two of my life - world domination," the 38-year-old joked. Berard wisecracked for several minutes while reminiscing about high and low points of his career. At the end of the session, Berard sent a personal message. "I truly thank all you fans." His lifetime totals give Berard 32 victories and 36 defeats with a 4.03 ERA. |
