Injury Sidelines John Hehn for Season
Tuesday, July 23rd , 2013
John Hehn of the Liberty just might have to call it quits for the season. The 24-year-old Manhattan starting pitcher received a possible season-ending injury against the Albuquerque Coyotes recently at Central Park. Hehn suffered a torn rotator cuff while throwing a pitch. The Liberty medical staff said he could be out quite some time, as much as 10 months.
So far this year, Hehn has made 9 starts, tossed 40.2 innings, struck out 59 batters and walked 22. His record is 0-7 with a 5.53 ERA and he has limited opposing teams to a .302 batting average.
