Detroit-Calgary Swap: Daniels for Erenkov Tuesday, October 22nd , 2013 Proving the old adage that one man's trash is another man's treasure, the Chargers announced today the acquisition of 33-year old 1B Denis Erenkov from the Calgary Caracals in exchange for 22-year old minor league LF D.J. Jimenez and 22-year old minor league 2B Joel Daniels. "This isn't the deal of the century," acknowledged the Chargers, "but we think it will improve the direction of both teams." Erenkov currently has a career .222 batting average with 281 hits, good for 52 home runs, 165 RBIs and 161 runs. |
