Reliever Murnane Will Retire Friday, October 18th , 2013 Cory Murnane said he's made enough money in professional baseball, so it's time to move on. "I did pretty well for myself, my bank account isn't hurting, maybe I'll become a manager or a team owner or something so I can make even more," he said, announcing this season would be his last. "I'm 41 years old, so I've still got some time to make something of the rest of my life." During his career, Murnane has made 62 relief appearances and converted 20 saves. His record stands at 22-24 with a 3.89 ERA. |
