Division Championship Series Goes the Distance, Vancouver Prevails Thursday, October 10th , 2013 It was a rousing finish to the Division Championship Series at Ballpark of Vacaville today. The Vancouver Bruins sent the Vacaville Steelheads home for the season with a 3-2 win in the decisive game of the series. The Bruins took the series 4-3. Up next on their schedule is the SPBC Classic Series. Hauling in the MVP trophy was Vancouver right fielder Pete Phillips. His numbers included a .308 batting average, 3 RBIs and 4 runs. "With any luck, I'll be hoisting another one of these at the end of the SPBC Classic Series," he said. The Vancouver Bruins will play against the Allentown Fleetwings in the next round.
