Rookie Wiz Gets September Award in SPBC Tuesday, October 1st , 2013 Coen Raatjes is living a dream. Not only did he net the Semi-Pro Baseball Circuit's Rookie of the Month Award today, but the 23-year-old has put together a string of starts that has everybody talking all the league. In the month of September the Southern California starter was 6-1 as he put up a 1.80 ERA. He also totaled 30 strikeouts in 35 innings, while holding opponents to a .210 average. Pretty good stats for a rookie. In 6 starts this year, Raatjes has fashioned a 7-3 record and a 2.70 ERA. |
