SPBC's Best Starter is Raatjes Tuesday, October 1st , 2013 An outstanding 6-1 record in September earned Coen Raatjes the Pitcher of the Month Award in the Semi-Pro Baseball Circuit. When his name was penciled in to start on the Southern California lineup card, it meant trouble for opposing teams. In 35 innings of work, Raatjes limited opposing batters to 26 base hits and a .210 batting average. He notched 30 strikeouts, issued 14 walks and had a 1.80 ERA. Raatjes has made 6 starts, tossed 53.1 innings, struck out 45 batters and walked 21. His record is 7-3 with a 2.70 ERA and he has limited other teams to a .215 batting average. |
