Capitals Come up Short of Playoffs Saturday, September 28th , 2013 The hopes of lifting a championship trophy in Ottawa this year have now vanished. The Ottawa Capitals have been eliminated from postseason contention. "I'm not happy but I'm trying to come to terms with it," catcher Dan Wood said. The Capitals have missed the playoffs 7 times in their 12 years as a Semi-Pro Baseball Circuit franchise. This playoff miss is the club's 3rd in a row, with their last postseason appearance coming in 2010. Ottawa has won the SPBC Classic Series 2 times in their history. |
