Green Bay Loses Lakatos for Year Friday, September 27th , 2013 The doctors have spoken and Aaron Lakatos of the Green Bay Braves didn't like what he heard. The 30-year-old shortstop is almost certainly gone for the rest of the year and depending on his progress could miss some of next season as well. Lakatos sustained his season-ending injury during the Saskatoon Moose game yesterday at Braves Ballpark. He had to leave the game because he hurt himself while being hit by a pitch. Today the Green Bay medical staff reported Lakatos had a broken kneecap and would be absent from the lineup for at least 5 months. This year, Lakatos has 10 home runs and a .217 batting average. |
