"It's quite a thrill," Hernandez told the media afterward. "This is a top-notch league. A no-hitter against any team in the league is something special. I can't believe I did it." To get his name logged in the Semi-Pro Baseball Circuit records, he stopped Sherbrooke cold and hitless, surrendering 3 walks and fanning 11 of the 30 batters he faced. Ottawa manager Ricky Wilson was in a jovial mode after the game, kidding with reporters that Hernandez "made managing easy today."
