Red-Hot Dickison Scorches Drillers Friday, August 9th , 2013 Bob Dickison was sizzling at the plate. The Vancouver catcher blistered the Edmonton Drillers for 5 hits in 6 at-bats, but couldn't prevent his club from falling to defeat, 10-9. "Dickison was too tough to get out today," Drillers skipper Josh Rego said in a postgame interview. "No matter what we threw him, he hit it. And he hit some good pitches, too. But hey, I don't mind if every game somebody gets 5 hits off us, as long as we win." Bob Dickison hit a solo-shot off Eric Scarlett in the 2nd, hit an RBI single in the 3rd, struck out in the 4th, singled in the 7th, singled in the 8th and hit an RBI single in the 10th. So far this season, Dickison is hitting .310 with 7 home runs, 28 RBIs and 23 runs scored. He has 48 hits in 155 at-bats and a .399 OBP. View Boxscore |
