Jon Snowden Calls it a Career Monday, July 29th , 2013 It's a somber day for Senators fans as Jon Snowden announced that he will retire at the end of the 2013 season. The Albany closer attributed his retirement to his age and loss of skills. "I'm not the type of player I want to be anymore," he said. "It's harder go out there and be competitive. I'm not at the end of my rope yet, but I've seen guys hang around too long. I'm not going to be one of them." Lifetime Snowden has a 9-16 won-lost record and a 4.18 ERA with 17 saves. He has made 61 games, logged 90.1 innings and fanned 83 batters. |
