El Paso Sends Higgins to Los Angeles Wednesday, November 20th , 2013 In a move that has fans in both cities buzzing, the El Paso Diablos and the Los Angeles Knights have agreed to a deal that will have 31-year old 1B Joe Higgins and $250,000 in cash heading to Los Angeles in exchange for 17-year old minor league RHP Nick Wharton, 19-year old minor league LF Danny Vasques, and 19-year old minor league RHP Scott Finley. Provided they pass a physical, the players should be with their respective teams in time for tomorrow's games. Higgins is hitting the ball at a .241 clip over his career. In 574 games he has delivered 473 hits, 89 home runs with 349 RBIs and scored 373 times. |
