Diablos, Cutthroats Announce Major Deal Wednesday, November 20th , 2013 The El Paso Diablos and Denver Cutthroats have finalized a huge trade involving 28-year old RHP Landon Griffith, 26-year old LF Jeremy Coralic, 28-year old 3B Gary Payer, 28-year old 2B Matt Houser, 24-year old minor league RHP Drew Conroy, 22-year old minor league 2B Tom Abraham, 17-year old minor league 3B Josh Sims, 17-year old minor league LHP Jay Hansen, and 19-year old minor league LHP Jimmy Van Curen for the Diablos and 29-year old 2B Dewey Duggan and 32-year old 3B Ryan Horrocks for the Cutthroats. "Deals like this are hard to get settled," confessed El Paso GM Peters. "You have so many issues that could become deal-breakers." Lifetime Payer has hit for a .318 average and totaled 429 hits, 65 home runs and 224 RBIs. Over his career Duggan has batted .270 and collected 599 hits, 198 home runs and 467 RBIs. |
