Brown Triumphs in Pitcher of the Year Award Voting Wednesday, November 6th , 2013 The Washington Warriors have a rising superstar or maybe even a budding Hall-of-Famer in the making. It's Mark Brown, this year's Professional Baseball Circuit Pitcher of the Year Award selection. This blossoming hurler wowed fans, peers and sportswriters with a fabulous performance. Brown compiled a 17-1 record in 22 starts, tallied 162 strikeouts in 161.2 innings and recorded a 2.06 ERA. Other clubs managed only a .198 batting average against him. He received 9 first place votes out of a possible 18. Jesse Steele of the El Paso Diablos finished second in voting with 8 first place votes, while Ron Clous of the Washington Warriors finished third with 1 first place vote.
