Mavericks Santana No-Hits Aces Monday, September 23rd , 2013 Is it better to be lucky or good? After leading the Houston Mavericks to victory, 5-0, and tossing a no-hitter over the Las Vegas Aces, Ricardo Santana didn't have the answer. "I don't know," Santana said. "To do what I did today, I'm pretty sure it takes both." On his big day at Mavericks Ballpark, Santana fanned 11 and had 3 walks. And it seemed that when the Aces managed to hit the ball hard, it went right at a defender. "That's how you get a no-hitter," Santana said with a smile. "A lot of skill mixed with a little luck."
