St. Louis Over Tampa Bay, 5-3, 100th Win for Barger Sunday, September 8th , 2013 Ben Barger of the St. Louis Lions will go down as one of the league's legendary pitchers after his 5-3 win today against the Tampa Bay Thunder. "It felt like it was a postseason game, one out at a time," said his manager. "It was something special to see." The 32-year-old Barger picked up his 100th career victory at The Lions Hearth. He hurled 8 innings, gave up 7 hits and registered 9 strikeouts along with no walks. "I've worked a long time for this," Barger said. "I can't believe it's really here. It feels great!" Thus far in his career, Barger has put up a won-loss record of 100-62. Lifetime he has an ERA of 3.43, struck out 1449 batters and held opposing teams to a .242 batting average.
