Miami's Valdovinos to Miss Season Tuesday, September 3rd , 2013 A blow for Mario Valdovinos today -- team doctors confirmed he will miss 4 months with a bone spur in his elbow. Valdovinos suffered the injury throwing a pitch. Although officials from the Miami Sun Sox are confident he'll make a full recovery, doubts will persist about Valdovinos's ability to return fully fit with an injury of this nature. To date, Valdovinos has collected 2 saves in 22 relief appearances. He has rung up 36 strikeouts and 14 walks in 36 innings while registering a 4.75 ERA and a 2-5 won-lost record. |
