Mavericks Listless in 6-0 Loss to Diablos Wednesday, August 21st , 2013 Today was Jesse Steele's turn in the rotation for the El Paso Diablos and he made the most of it, shutting out the Houston Mavericks on 2 hits. The 30-year-old left-hander led the Diablos to an easy 6-0 victory, allowing 4 walks and tallying 9 strikeouts. "I hope we miss him next time," Houston manager Kevin Read said. "Steele certainly pitched a strong game against us today. He was in a groove, throwing everything for strikes. Throwing hard. Changing speeds."
