Aces, Knights Trade Players Friday, December 20th , 2013 In a move that has fans in both cities buzzing, the Las Vegas Aces and the Los Angeles Knights have agreed to a deal that will have 28-year old 2B Ken Gibbons, 32-year old minor league 2B Raul Soto, and 29-year old minor league LHP Bob Wallace heading to Los Angeles in exchange for 26-year old LHP Chris Thompson. Provided they pass a physical, the players should be with their respective teams in time for tomorrow's games. In his 426-game career Gibbons is batting .269 with 71 doubles, 7 triples, 51 home runs and 209 RBIs. He has stolen 61 bases and scored 200 times. Thompson has a career record of 14-6 with a 3.18 ERA. In 77 games he has recorded 19 saves and the 26-year-old has 121 strikeouts in 133 innings of work. |
