Almost There: El Paso On Cusp of CQ Triumph After 9-1 Win
Riding the 4-hit performance of first baseman Joe Higgins, the El Paso Diablos got a road win against the Los Angeles Knights, 9-1, in Game 4 of the Cup Qualifier. Higgins was 4 for 5 with a home run and 2 doubles, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2 for the Diablos, who now lead the best-of-7 series, 3 games to 1.

Higgins had a key at-bat in the top of the first to put El Paso in front, 4-0. With a runner on 1st, he hit a 2-run home run off Los Angeles pitcher Jack Bayley.

"Whenever we hold the other team to one run," said Diablos manager Joe Peters, "I like our chances."

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Camelot in Los Angeles.
