Kamar Jackson did all he could to help his team win. In the end, though, it wasn't enough to keep the Dallas Texans from being beaten, 6-5, to the Miami Sun Sox at Everything's Bigger in Texas Ballpark. Jackson went 2 for 3 with 2 doubles, while adding 4 RBI. Miami reliever Jason Lightcap picked up the win, upping his record to 5-6. Josh O'Toole was saddled with the loss. Picking up the save was Owen Halsey. He's now 3 for 5 in save chances.

A defensive lapse proved costly in the contest. In the top of the ninth, with the game tied, Roger Curry was at the plate when Miami scored 1 on an error. The miscue enabled the Sun Sox to go in front, 6-5.

"Nice to get this one," said Curry. "We've been scuffling."

Yes, it was a win for Miami; but their 27-57 record is still nothing to boast about.
