5 hits in a game is generally considered a noteworthy achievement, but for Mezyan Tsalani, it felt rather hollow.

The 19-year-old went 5-for-6 at the plate at PBC Rookie Development Complex, but his Boston (R) Shamrocks fell to the Detroit (R) Motors, 13-12.

"It's hard to get too excited," the shortstop told BNN following the game. "After a game like this, everyone's quiet and they just want to go home."

Mezyan Tsalani grounded out in the 1st, hit a two-run double in the 2nd, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 7th and singled in the 9th.

This year, Tsalani has collected a .281 batting average to date with 36 hits in 128 at-bats, 18 RBIs, 3 home runs and scored 25 times. He has played in 40 games.
