Shamrocks Get Clutch 4-3 Win
The Boston Shamrocks knocked off the New York City Blues, 4-3, in Professional Baseball Circuit action at Shamrock Grounds. Boston pitcher and Managua, Nicaragua, native Edwin Quevedo had an outstanding performance. Boston reliever Billy Morris picked up the win, while John McClinton took the loss for New York City. Boston has rattled off 5 straight wins.

The decisive blow was delivered by Pete Marquardt in the bottom of the ninth when he hit a solo home run off 24-year old right-handed pitcher John McClinton to win the game for Boston. The home crowd went nuts.

"This house was rockin'," Marquardt said.
