Lions Deal Diablos 6-4 Loss

St. Louis and El Paso duked it out and the Lions came out victorious.
Though he had a stellar game, Kevin Brown could not prevent his team, the El Paso Diablos, from losing, 6-4, to the St. Louis Lions. Brown went 3-4 with a home run and a triple, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. Ruben Casillas, the winning pitcher, is now 9-6. He went 8 innings, allowing 4 runs on 7 hits, while fanning 7 and walking 1. Kris Giglio recorded the save. In save chances, he's now 7 for 9.
St. Louis used a clutch at-bat from Salvador Reyes to capture the win. The left fielder hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the sixth inning to put the Lions ahead, 5-4. It was his lone hit in 2 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.
"I'm just looking to see the ball, hit the ball," said Reyes.
The Lions bumped their record to 45-34 with this win.
