The Denver Cutthroats picked up a win at Trident Field, courtesy of Etienne Larini. The right-hander helped his team stop the Chicago Blackhawks, 3-2. Larini yielded 2 runs over 8.2 innings to notch the win. He scattered 11 hits, walked 5, and struck out 2. His record improves to 1-0. Bob Vroom picked up the save for Denver, his 1st of the year.

Denver won the game in part because of Dewey Duggan. The second baseman ripped a solo home run in the top of the fifth inning to put the Cutthroats ahead, 3-1. For the game, Duggan had 1 double and 1 home run in 4 at-bats.

"I love playing this game, so you'll never see me not want to go out there and pitch," said Larini.

Denver is now 26-30, Chicago 19-37.
