Aces Win in Glorious Fashion, 2-1
The Aces faced a stiff challenge from Chicago pitcher Justin Thill, but persevered to claim a win at Caesers Palace Colosseum. The final score was 2-1. Thill went 8 innings and allowed no runs. Las Vegas reliever Steve Rossi picked up the win, raising his record to 2-0. Jayden McKnight was tagged with the loss. With the win, Las Vegas pushed its record to 39-28.

The Aces were down to their last out in the bottom of the ninth inning, when 26-year old third baseman Dave Gruhn landed a big blow. He turned a 1-2 fastball from Jayden McKnight into a 2-run single. The walk-off single sent the Caesers Palace Colosseum denizens into a frenzy and sent the Aces home with a thrilling 2-1 win.

"That's us at our best," Gruhn told the Las Vegas Times. "Pitching and trying to prevent runs."
