Peanuts Turn Back New York City, 6-4
|
San Francisco Peanuts starter Ryan Dillon pitched a strong game against the New York City Blues at Garibaldi's Grounds, leading the Peanuts to victory, 6-4. With the win, San Francisco goes to 27-37, while the Blues fall to 26-38.
In the bottom of the fifth, Chris Phillips delivered a clutch hit. With two gone and runners on 1st and 3rd, the San Francisco left fielder hit a run-scoring single, putting the Peanuts in front, 6-4.
"Ryan commanded the zone from bottom to top," said San Francisco manager Larry Link.
