Lions Triumph, 8-3, in 14 Innings
The St. Louis Lions picked up a win at Caesers Palace Colosseum, taking down the Las Vegas Aces, 8-3, in 14 innings. On the mound for St. Louis was left-hander Ben Barger. He played a central role in the triumph. Zeke Smothers claimed the win after being brought in from the bullpen. The left-hander allowed no runs on 3 hits in 3 innings. His record stands at 4-0. The win for the Lions raised their record to 36-26.

St. Louis needed the clutch hitting of Matt Weber to seal the deal. The shortstop swatted a solo home run in the top of the ninth inning to put the Lions on top, 3-2. For the game, Weber had 1 home run and 1 single in 5 at-bats.
