Tight Tilt Goes to Fleetwings, 3-2
|
Allentown Fleetwings starter Jason Hall pitched a strong game against the Ottawa Capitals at Fleetwings Ballpark, leading the Fleetwings to victory, 3-2. Isaiah Gray was called on to finish, recording his 9th save. With the win, the Fleetwings sit at 17-11.
Chris Kayser had a big run-scoring double for the Fleetwings in the bottom of the sixth inning. With Allentown leading 2-1 and a runner on 3rd, he got a cutter from 38-year old right-handed pitcher Jason Davis and swatted a double to right. It was his 3rd double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Fleetwings ahead, 3-1.
In postgame remarks, Kayser applauded his team's "toughness."
