Reed, Chargers Get 4-2 Win
|
The Detroit Chargers scooped up a win at Chargers Field, dumping the Winnipeg Buffaloes, 4-2. Matt Reed, who is tied for 3rd in the SPBC in quality starts with 6, was essential to his team's success. T.J. Johnson stitched up the save, his 1st. The win for the Chargers lifted their record to 16-10.
Reed delivered a quality start for Detroit. The 6-foot-5 right-hander allowed no earned runs on 2 hits over 6 innings of work.
"Matt kind of went out and dug down and got some outs when he needed to," said Detroit manager Mike Anderson.
